Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components
A specific item can be used to evolve certain Pokemon. The upgrade can be obtained by spinning a PokeStop's picture disc, and is often given as a reward at Pokemon GO events.
Upgrades can be used on armors, weapons, trinkets, and gathering tools to boost their level. The upgrade cost Flightstones and crests, based on the type of item.
Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be inserted into weapons, armor trinkets and gathering tools to give bonus effects or attribute bonuses when the equipment is utilized. The item being upgraded must have an available upgrade slot to accommodate the component. Most upgrade components require the item being upgraded to be at an amount. Some upgrade components also have special visual effects when they are added to an equipment piece. Upgrade components are available through crafting, bought from Karma merchants or traded with other players through the Trading Post. They can also be salvaged from equipment and used as rewards.
There are different upgrade components, each of which comes with various bonuses. Universal upgrades like gems and inscriptions are able to be applied to any type of equipment. They offer fewer bonuses than other types of upgrade component. Infusions are able to be used on legendary and non-amulet items, while enrichments can be utilized on certain back equipment that is ascended. Most upgrade components can be replaced if they are slotted into an item, but doing so can destroy the previous upgrade. There are exceptions for glyphs (which can only be inserted into gathering tools) and enchantments, which can be removed and then reinserted.
Insignias Enchantments, insignias, and prefix/suffix upgrades will appear in the hover display of the item, while they are added to the equipment's name (e.g. the word Radiant Insignia could change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). The number of upgrade components that have been added to an item will be displayed in the tooltip for the item.
Glyphs
Glyphs are special characters that can be added into an OpenType font to add functional or decorative elements like ligatures, fractions, ornaments, swashes, registered trademark symbols and ellipses. The Glyphs Panel lets you insert and view these special characters as well as common symbols like em and en dashes as well as trademark symbols registered to be used.
Each Glyph provides a primary stat boost for the character. It also includes up to four secondary stats that affect the radius of the glyph on your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats are a percentage boost that is multiplied by other bonuses, except for Speed Glyphs that directly increase the hero’s speed.
The Glyphs in your inventory can be activated by selecting them and clicking the "enchant" button. This will bring up a new window that displays the Glyphs you have available that can be applied to the item you have selected. Be aware that only the correct kind of Glyph can be applied to the selected item and each weapon, piece of jewelry or armor piece may have a different set of available Glyphs.
Glyphs can be improved by completing Nightmare Dungeons or completing Tree of Whisper quests. The more difficult the area is, the greater Glyph experience you'll gain. Once a Glyph is at level 15 it can be upgraded by the Glyph Upgrade Altar. The radius of the Paragon Board grows by one node for each 15 levels that a Glyph is upgraded.
Once a glyph has been upgraded to its desired level you can activate it by selecting it and then pressing the "enchant" button. The resulting glyph will provide the stated bonus and also boost all the other nodes within its range on the Paragon Board. It's important to place Glyphs where they can best benefit your build, and this is why it's beneficial to prioritize Magic Glyphs early on. Rare glyphs could also provide double bonus if certain conditions can be met.
If you're having trouble finding a particular glyph click the cycle widget on the Glyphs panel to display the panel in a variety of perspectives. Each of these views shows the Glyphs in a different font. You can narrow down the selection of glyphs you want to see by selecting an option below "Entire Font". For instance, punctuation only shows punctuation glyphs. Math Symbols limit the options to mathematical symbols.
Rerolling
Rerolling is the process of creating an account with a brand new username in order to increase your chances of obtaining a character or weapon you'd like. It can be done increase your level faster, or to obtain more valuable loot like a new weapon for your character. Many players roll again until they find the characters that they like regardless of their strength. It could be because they like the design or personality of the character.
When you reroll, it is important be sure that the changes you are making are clear. You should verify locally whether the patch is approved by pre-commit and run a Core dev check. You should also upload the patch to an issue using an unmodified diff (see What about an interdiff? ).
Rerolls may take a few days or weeks, depending on how lucky you are. During this period, you should avoid enemy camps that are optional to save time. It is also recommended to avoid repeating quests that can be completed later in the game. This can save time and energy.

When rerolling, it's crucial to be aware of the upgrade system. There are item upgrades to enhance your character's appearance as well as power. Upgrades, rerolling characters and upgrading weapons are all options. In addition, it's important to know the limitations of the upgrade system.
Rerolling may not be an absolute requirement, but it is an effective way to increase your chances of getting the right character or weapon. It can be used to determine the best character or to experiment with different builds and playstyles.
Sets
A set is an object collection having 2 common attributes (like the number of eggs in a dozen or the members of a group). Sets allow for operations like union, intersection and difference.
Upgrades make a set better than it was before. For weapons and armor this means that it gets an increase in the base defense and an lower strength requirement, and an lower level requirement.
Upgrading is an excellent method of bringing popular single-set items into parity with their higher-tier set counterparts. For instance, upgrading Guillaume's Face Helm to Elite Spired Helm boosts the defense from 217 to 321 while also reducing the strength requirement and level requirement to a more attainable range.
However it's important to remember that not all set items are good candidates for upgrading. Certain sets, like the FB Sorc spec Whistan's shield and Naj's puzzler staff are already Exceptional in their own rights and don't need upgrading. On the other hand, certain items that are BiS and are used frequently (like Goldwrap) may benefit from being upgraded to improve their performance even more. It could be worthwhile to upgrade these items.
